Red Bulla ace Max Verstappen is going through a purple patch like no other. He is the current double-time champion. In 2023, Verstappen has won nine out of 11 races already. On top of that, the Dutchman is currently enjoying a seven-race winning streak. He is on his way to make it eight Grand Prix wins in a row. Moreover, his total tally of GP wins has reached 44 race wins. But Max Verstappen is very eager to get to his 45th win because 44 is closely associated with Lewis Hamilton. However, it does not look too hard for him to get there this weekend.

As usual, he was far behind for most of the qualifying race session. Later he increased the pace and got to another pole position. Albeit, he won’t be able to start from pole on Sunday in Spa because of his first grid penalty this year. Moreover, the Dutchman will have to start from P6 on Sunday. However, with his skills and the superior RB19 car, it won’t take him much time to get on P1 in no time. Other than the confusion about Verstappen’s pole position, there was another incident regarding the current double-time champion’s argument on the radio.

Max Said That Argument Is No Big Deal As It Happens Often

Max Verstappen mentioned that it was not a big deal in the post-race press conference. Adding to that, the Dutchman noted the intense argument on the radio with Gianpiero Lambiase, his engineer, was a normal and regular occurrence. Moreover, in answering a question from Sportskeeda, Max Verstappen mentioned that sometimes things heat up. But there is nothing to worry about, as per the Dutch racer. Verstappen says that things generally resolve pretty soon. The reporter from Sportskeeda asked to elaborate on exactly what happened and if things get so intense frequently.

In response, Max Verstappen mentioned that sometimes they do have such arguments. They get vocal or even emotional once in a while. But the team generally blocks off these conversations. However, the driver and the engineer always solve it afterward. Hence, nothing to worry about as the Dutchman says, “It’s all good.” On the other hand, the Dutch media asked Verstappen if the engineer was right in his argument. Replying to that, Max Verstappen mentioned that there is no need for a comment from him. Instead, he will just discuss that with his engineer.

What Happened Between Max Verstappen And Gianpiero Lambiase?

The Red Bull driver had an argument with his engineer on the radio during Q2. In the qualifying session, they had an argument about Max’s session. Max Verstappen argued that he could have gone for two more laps since he lost a lap time as a punishment for exceeding track limits. He could settle for a 10th-place finish.

But Verstappen would face elimination in the second session. He expressed his anger on the radio, and the engineer Lambiase replied that it would drain the batteries since the track got quicker. However, Max Verstappen assured me that this banter is a sign of his strong rapport with Lambiase, and it happens frequently during these sessions.
