Major Boost For Lakers Ahead Of Warriors Game, Steph Curry Likely To Miss Out

Steph Curry-Lakers

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will likely miss out on the game against LA Lakers on Thursday.

The NBA 2023 All-Star break is supposed to end today, and the regular NBA season will resume today. The Los Angeles Lakers will face Golden State Warriors at Crypto Arena stadium. The Lakers, who are struggling to make it to the playoff for the second consecutive year, will meet a better team, the Warriors, and will have a task up their sleeves facing them.

However, ahead of the game, the Lakers have received much-needed confidence booster news. As per the latest reports, the star point guard of the Warriors is likely to miss out on the game due to injury concerns. While the Lakers struggle from injury concerns within their own camp, the opposition’s worries are a blessing in disguise for the purple and gold.

Steph Curry To Miss The Game Against The Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers received a major boost ahead of their game against the Golden State Warriors, as it was reported that Steph Curry is likely to miss the matchup. Curry has been missing in action since the first week of February due to ligament issues in the left leg. Moreover, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Reports stated that Curry will sit on the bench for the upcoming game against the Lakers as he will likely go under examination next week.

The Lakers, on the other hand, are currently stationed at 13th place in the Western Conference points table with a record of 27-32. However, they have been playing better recently, winning their last game against the Pelicans. But, the absence of Stephen Curry will make their task against the Warriors a little easier. But they will still need to play well in order to secure the win. FYI, the purple and goal ended up on the losing side when both parties met a few weeks back.

Darvin Ham Provides Crucial Update On LeBron James’ Finger Injury

LeBron James

The LA Lakers are reeling under injury concerns within their own camp. During the all-star game, Lakers star forward LeBron James injured his fingers after they tangled up in the rim. As a result of the contact, James sat out for the rest of the game. Further, the veteran also missed out on the practice session. Hence, the concerns over his availability against the Warriors started mounting.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers head coach brushed off injury concerns and said the finger is not a problem for King James. In fact, he purposely asked LeBron James to skip the practice session to enjoy an additional day of rest. Not to forget, James missed out on the last three games before the all-star break due to a sore ankle. Hence, Ham feels James needs additional rest to recharge himself both physically as well as mentally. LeBron’s presence on the court is vital for the Lakers as they are looking to make one final playoff push with just 23 games in hand.
