Lewis Hamilton Says F1\’s New Las Vegas Race Would Be Pretty Hardcore!

On Thursday, F1 announced its return to the sin city with the Las Vegas Grand Prix, scheduled in 2023. Formula One shared that the racers would be returning to the astonishingly beautiful setup of Las Vegas next year with the third grand event in the US. Lewis Hamilton shared his perspective on the Las Vegas event. He believes that party-loving racers will find it hard to focus on the event. Hamilton recently finished at the tenth spot in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday. He is currently ranked No. 5 in the F1 2022 standings with 16 points and a podium.

F1 is returning to Las Vegas since its last event in 1981 and 1982. Formula One has decided to revive the Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023 at the 3.8-miles long Vegas strip. The racers will have a 50-lap outing on the fourteen-turn track with three straights, a high-speeding cornering sequence, and a single chicane section. The Las Vegas Strip is currently under construction. When the track finishes in 2023, it will help the racers to reach speeds of about 212 mph. The race will be held on a Saturday night in November. However, an official date for the event is yet to be announced by Formula One

   

The racers will rush through famous landmarks and hotels like Caesars Palace, the MSG Sphere, Mandalay Bay, and Bellagio Fountains. Fans and the racers were thrilled to find out about the upcoming event in Las Vegas. Formula One announced the big news through their official social media accounts by posting a video. F1 also posted a reaction video of the racers when they were informed about the Las Vegas Grand Prix for the first time.

Lewis Hamilton Shares His Perspective On The Las Vegas Event:

Hamilton feels that it will be fairly difficult for the drivers with so much going on around them. Lewis said, \”Knowing that it\’s a real party city, it\’s difficult for a racing driver.\” He added that it would be hard for him to focus on winning during the weekend in Silver City. Further, the former world champion also acknowledged that the event will be pretty hardcore for all the drivers participating in the 2023 event.
