Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton has not yet found a way to beat Max Verstappen this year. The Red Bull driver has won eight of the ten races so far, while Christian Horner’s team has won all the races so far. They are leading by more than 200 points over their rivals Mercedes who are in second place. Thanks to their Chief Technical Engineer Adrian Newey, Red Bull has the fastest car on the grid at present.

But if that was enough, then why is Sergio Perez struggling after winning a couple of races in Baku, Azerbaijan, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia? Apparently, only a fast car is not enough. A quality driver can take the car way beyond its capabilities, and that’s what Max Verstappen has been doing this season. On the other hand, Mercedes is still struggling with the W14 car. Their star driver Lewis Hamilton has managed to get a couple of P2 finishes. But the seven-time champion has been winless since 2022. Although, according to F1 analyst Peter Windsor, Hamilton is not making any mistakes, as Verstappen has raised the bar too high.

Peter Windsor Doesn’t Find Any Fault Of Lewis Hamilton As Max Has A Perfect Life

The former William’s championship-winning manager, Peter Windsor, believes that Lewis Hamilton has managed to cope with the decline of Mercedes incredibly well. But Red Bull and Max Verstappen are making things difficult for the rivals every Grand Prix this year. On a YouTube stream, Windsor stated that the problem for Lewis Hamilton was his career with fast car experiences. All his glorious long, and illustrious career, he generally drove the best cars on the grid. But with this sudden fall to disgrace with the Mercedes W13 and W14 cars, Hamilton is finding it very difficult to adjust. Peter also pointed out the shocking side for Hamilton fans, saying, “Alas, where Lewis Hamilton was back in 2021 and two years later, where he is now!

According to the F1 Pundit, Lewis Hamilton is doing an incredible job with a slow car this year. He had the experience of getting a lot of road dust on himself back in 2007. But Peter believes that the Mercedes driver has not made more mistakes on slower cars. Instead, he pointed out that Hamilton had a spin in Silverstone but recovered pretty well. On the other hand, Max Verstappen is making things look great because he has everything perfect in his life right now. As per Peter, he has a team that loves him, and he loves them too, plus the fastest car.

Windsor Says Verstappen Doesn’t Even Have A Teammate To Worry About

Talking about team Red Bull, Windsor thinks that Verstappen has no teammates to worry about. Like Lewis Hamilton had to worry about his career with Fernando Alonso (back in McLaren days), later Nico Rosberg, and then Valtteri Bottas in Mercedes. Now he has got another challenge from a 25-year-old driver named George Russell.

However, the Dutchman has been on another level since the last year. Verstappen won 15 races in 2022. It still is the record for most wins in a single season for a driver. But as it stands, Max Verstappen may be able to break his own record of last year. He already bagged eight wins in 2023. There are more or less twelve races to go still this year. Hence, there is a possibility for Verstappen to win more and for Red Bull to stay unbeaten this season.
