LeBron James vs Michael Jordan GOAT Debate: Former NFL Player’s Blunt Take Will Shock You

LeBron James- Michael Jordan

The LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT debate has lasted longer than most basketball players’ careers. Both players are the legends of the game and have played in different generations from one another. While Jordan has already been declared the greatest basketball player of all time, LeBron seems to be in the process of being one.

Even though LeBron James and Michael Jordan have immense respect for each other, the fans are constantly engaged in the who is the ultimate GOAT debate. The latest one to join the years-long debate is a former American football player. The footballer, who keeps a keen interest in basketball, has shared his views on the debate and revealed his greatest of all time (GOAT) basketball player.

Former NFL Player Enter The LeBron vs. Jordan GOAT Debate

Ike Reese, a former NFL Pro Bowl winner, appeared on the “BallFather” podcast. During the appearance, Resse shared his views on the LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT debate. He delivered his verdict and chose Jordan as the ultimate GOAT. He thinks Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time compared to LeBron James.

However, Reese clarified that he has immense respect for LeBron James. The footballer further added he sees James as more of a great athlete than a basketball player. Simply because of LeBron’s career longevity. King James made his debut in NBA 20 years ago and is still going strong. Hence, Reese concluded by saying that if ever there is a debate about who is the greatest athlete of all time, he would rank LeBron James in that column.

“There’s always gonna be a debate about who’s the greatest basketball player. And I think Jordan will have it hands down,” says Ike Reese.

LeBron James To Become The Leading Point Scorer In NBA

LeBron James

The GOAT debate is never going to rest. However, unfazed by all the outside noise, LeBron James is still going strong even after 20 years. Moreover, King James has already surpassed 38,000 career points. On top of that, James is just 158 points away from the all-time high score of Kareem Abdul Jabbar. And it seems like, LeBron intends to achieve that momentous feat before the current season ends.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers are having a terrible run despite LeBron’s flying stint. The team ranks 13th on the Western Conference points table with 23-26. Anthony Davis missed five weeks owing to a foot injury which affected the team’s closing rate. The Lakers were unable to close multiple games after choking in the final seconds of the match. Hence, the lack of vigilance has landed them in such a mess. Now, the recovery will take an unimaginable amount of sweat and hard work from them.
