Los Angeles Lakers clashed with Cleaveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. However, the star of the Lakers campaign Anthony Davis was unwell. Thus, he couldn\’t play for more than eight minutes. This was reflected in the game\’s outcome as well. Despite LeBron James scoring 21 points, the Lakers lost to the Cavs by 116-102. After the loss, James has been at the center of a lot of criticism for the loss. And Skip Bayless couldn\’t let this moment go.

Skip Bayless Bash LeBron James!

On his first day back in Cleveland on Tuesday, LeBron James recorded a double-double. With a field goal percentage of 47.1%, he grabbed 21 points along with 17 rebounds. But Anthony Davis was forced to leave the game in the first quarter due to a non-Covid ailment. Thus, James had to take up the rebounding duties. He excelled in that area, holding off big players like Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen while pulling down four offensive rebounds during the evening. James apparently tried his best. But it wasn\’t enough, as the Lakers lost by 14 points.

As a result, Fox Sports analyst and professional LeBron hater Skip Bayless has grabbed the opportunity to criticize him. Bayless charged James with having a singular concentration on scoring and going for Kareem Abdul-record-breaking Jabbar\’s total of points scored.

According to Bayless, the main goal of LeBron James\’ season is to surpass Kareem Abdul Jabbar\’s record. The TV commentator believes that following a turbulent 2021–22 NBA season, \”King James\” is less concerned about aiding the LA Lakers in improving.

Bayless could have overlooked the fact that James was only able to record four assists against the Cavaliers because the Lakers had a poor shooting night. LA made only 6 of their 36 attempts from the 3-point range, or 42.7% of their total field goal attempts.

LeBron James also had to deal with the stress of being the game\’s top offensive option when Anthony Davis left the contest in the first quarter due to a non-Covid ailment. Furthermore, James is 887 points shy of overtaking Abdul-Jabbar and will need to average just 15-16 points per game, assuming he plays in every game the rest of the way.

Furthermore, Bayless used Michael Jordan\’s run of 82 games played to criticize LeBron James and Anthony Davis for worries about their availability. The Lakers\’ demise was largely due to James and Davis\’ injury struggles during the previous two seasons. Following Davis\’ departure from the Lakers\’ 116-102 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bayless seized the chance to call the Lakers\’ superstar duo out.
