The Lakers got their second victory of the season on Wednesday night in the game against the Pelicans. Matt Ryan\’s brilliant performance in the match guided the Lakers toward victory in a closely contested game. However, the biggest star of the side, Lebron James, did not seem like his usual self in the game. Fans did not see the sheer on-court dominance for which LeBron is feared all around the NBA. It turns out that King James has been sick over the past three days.

LeBron James Reveals He Was Sick And Bedridden!

On Wednesday, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by 120-117 to earn their second victory of the campaign. However, it wasn\’t quite a masterpiece from the Lakers\’ perspective. His performance, in particular, lacked rhythm and was quite subpar. King James later explained why he didn\’t appear like himself after the game by claiming that he had been battling a virus for the previous three days.

The four-time MVP exhibited an odd lack of energy throughout the whole evening. He was playing at a slow, deliberate tempo and walking the ball upcourt practically every time, not pushing the ball or attacking as he typically does. Despite that, LeBron James helped his team defeat the New Orleans Pelicans in a thrilling overtime victory with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.

James had his plans for the remainder of the evening defined not long after the game. He admitted that he was unwell and could hardly get out of bed in his post-game interview with the media. It\’s encouraging news for Lakers supporters that the Akron Hammer continued by saying that his foot wasn\’t troubling him. They believe the team can build on the momentum they\’ve developed over the last several games.

Seemingly, his name consistently appeared on the injury report list before games throughout the whole season. But up until now, he has been a constant in the squad. LeBron James mentioned Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady when quizzed about his name being mentioned in the story.

Meanwhile, Lonnie Walker IV and Russell Westbrook carried the team when James was unwell. To take a 56-44 lead into halftime, the Lakers defeated New Orleans during the final minutes of the second quarter. Walker finished the game leading the squad with 28 points and five 3-pointers. Anthony Davis was a defensive and rebounding machine, grabbing 16 rebounds and blocking four shots. The four-time MVP frequently settled for long shots, shooting just 9 of 23 overall and 0 of 7 from outside the arc.
