The Los Angeles Lakers got their marquee player Anthony Davis back and running from his stress injury. However, many reports suggest that the 29-year-old has received much attention from the trade market. But the huge center is supposed to be the future of the Lakers as they thought he would be when they signed him. So it is evident that LA will think about building around their two megastars, LeBron James and AD. And retain the nine-time All-star for further development of the franchise in the future.

There is no doubt that Anthony Davis will be a considerable part of the Lakers’ future after they bid farewell to LeBron. King James is already 38 and playing the most premium and precious last few years of basketball in the NBA. However, soon he will hit retirement, and father time will take over him to witness his kids in the NBA.

So when that time comes, Anthony will step up to become the face of the franchise. Until then, Hollywood is set with their prominent stars playing in the Purple and Gold as both have extended contracts. And James even aspires to play alongside his children in the NBA, which is impossible for two more years.

Lakers Shutting Any Trade Call Which Involves Anthony Davis

The 29-year-old is an impeccable asset to bost in the NBA as he is one of the best in business on both ends of the court. But it all boils down to him remaining healthy in the most cautious parts of the season when the team is in dire need of a win. Otherwise, the 2020 champ is a liability sitting on the sidelines watching the team lose. Since the Lakers signed him in 2019, he has been highly prone to injury, missing essential games for them. In the past two years, Davis has only half of the game and missed half of them due to his injuries.

As the trade deadline is approaching the end on Feb 9, the Lakers are displaying a 25-29 record in 12th position in the Western Conference. However, LA has yet to make more changes after only moving Rui Hachimura to the forward line. While the front office looks for their addition, many teams are calling Hollywood to enquire about Anthony Davis. But the reports suggest that LA shuts down every such conversation as they have no interest in trading their star player.

Anthony Davis

Based on his performance on the court, Anthony Davis would be a great addition to any team. And even after suffering a long-term injury, he has made a smooth return back to the court. Davis is averaging 25.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in the last five games while shooting 49%. If Davis could continue his form and the Lakers make well-informed changes, they can qualify for the playoffs.
