Lakers Moving Russell Westbrook To Make Place For Better Players, Will It Be Myles Turner Or Bojan Bogdanovic?

bojan bogdanovic - Myles Turner

The Los Angeles Lakers are the most in-form bottom team at the moment. They currently sit at the 12th seeding in the Western Conference, even after winning five consecutive games. LeBron James took care of the team in the absence of their fantastic beast Anthony Davis. From the time he injured himself, Davis has missed 13 games for his team. Although the 29-year-old Laker is doing everything for his recovery, the injury is severe and will take some time to heal.

The 2020 champ wanted to avoid the surgery, which would have blown him out of season. However, in order to heal on his own, a lot of reports and tests are required for the doctors to figure out other ways. For now, the power forward is trying different measures to quicken his recovery. According to reports, Davis will start underwater workouts and an anti-gravity treadmill for a safe recovery. Meanwhile, there is a commotion in the market about Hollywood’s trade rumors. The Lakers have not made any moves, but with the deadline, incoming LA will have to sort their trade.

NBA Analyst Suggests Lakers Some Trade Options

Many fans and analysts have seen the Lakers play and suggested the Lakers their suitable players. Similarly, Greg Swartz of Bleacher believes the Lakers should trade Russell Westbrook and Max Christie. Along with those players, the first draft picks will also make a package that can bring Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks, and Nerlens Noel. But the Lakers have shown reluctance when it comes to talking about trading their future picks. But Swartz has a strong argument for the Lakers to make changes in the team.

According to Swartz, Bogdanovic is a great addition to the team and would be a great fit. Still, the Lakers should also consider making other moves to improve their defensive capabilities and overall depth. Bogdanovic is a skilled, experienced player who is currently averaging 21 points per game and shooting 45.9% on catch-and-shoot threes.

Burks and Noel are also strong options, with Burks having a career-high 43.8% shooting percentage on threes. In the meantime, he is averaging 14 points, three rebounds, and 2.1 assists off the bench. Noel is known for his defensive defense versatility and ability to protect the rim. Adding these players would give the Lakers additional depth in their frontcourt behind Davis.

It’s not just the Lakers but the whole NBA has been waiting to make their move at the last moment. Overall the Lakers have shown interest in many potential players this year. But Hollywood did not make anything certain as they are still regretting their previous trade decision. Meanwhile, they have shown a constant interest in Myles Turner and Buddy Hield. In the mid-season, there was a time when Russell Westbrook was expected to stay. However, it looks like the 34-year-old’s expiring contract will lead him off the hook. Still, there is nothing certain this season. It is full of suspense in the NBA out there.
