Lakers\’ Frank Vogel Gives An Update On Anthony Davis\’ Injury, Davis & LeBron Might Play On Friday!

LeBron James & Davis

Lakers\’ Anthony Davis injured himself during the last match before the All-Star Break. He suffered from a mid-foot sprain injury in mid-February and has been out of the court since. Davis has missed nearly 20 games for the Lakers since his injury. Head coach Frank Vogel has revealed that Anthony is working extremely hard, and he wants to get back to the court as soon as possible. Unfortunately, LA has managed to win just four games after the All-Star break. LeBron James stepped up and tried to carry the Lakers on his shoulders after Davis\’ injury, scoring 30+points each game. However, no real support from the defense has cost the team a lot of games.

Sadly, the Lakers were forced to play without Davis and James for the last two games after LeBron turned his left ankle against the Pelicans on Sunday. The Lakers had to face two disappointing losses against the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz. The Lakers have slipped to the seventh position in the Western Conference again after Thursday\’s game. Their defense is rated as the fourth-worst since Anthony Davis\’ injury.

Frank Vogel Provides An Update On Anthony Davis:

The 29-year-old is itching to get back on the field and help the Lakers qualify for the play-in tournament. Frank revealed that Anthony had shown urgency to get back during his rehabilitation. But, the Lakers\’ coach also pointed out that it will take Davis some time to get back in rhythm after being out for six weeks. Frank said the Los Angeles Clippers\’ Paul George\’s comeback performance could be an exception. The Lakers coach felt that it could be first-game energy that a player can have when they start off after a while. Frank added, \”Anthony is gonna be facing all of those things and hopefully we can get as much out of him as we can.\”

Will Davis & LeBron Play At Home Against The Pelicans On Friday:

As per recent reports, Anthony Davis and Lebron James could return to the court against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. James has missed two games after suffering from his ankle injury. After their recent defeat against the Utah Jazz, the Lakers have again slipped to the 11th spot. They really need Davis and James to return to the team and lead them towards a play-in qualification. However, it will not be easy for the two giants to come back after an injury and perform from the word go.

Anthony & James

Vogel shared insight on the possibility of Davis and James\’ return on Friday. Frank said, \”That\’s up to the medical team. Those are medical decisions.\” Vogel added that if the medical team gives them the green light, Davis and James will definitely play against the Pelicans. The Lakers would hope that the duo returns soon with only six more games to play.
