Following the embarrassing performance, the 2020 NBA title winner LA Lakers made some changes in their squad as well as support staff. These changes included the appointment of Darvin Ham as the head coach for the squad.

Meanwhile, up until this point in the season, the team has not been able to achieve desired results; they have won only three out of thirteen games. However, the positive energy Darvin Ham has fueled in the team can not be denied. Recently, the new coach spoke about how it is a pleasure for him to guide Anthony Davis.

Darvin Ham Loves Coaching Anthony Davis!

Darvin Ham, the Los Angeles Lakers head coach, predicted before the season that Anthony Davis would be crucial to the team\’s success. And now that LeBron James must lose some time due to injury, it\’s even more important. Davis has come under fire for not always being aggressive on the floor. Especially later in games, when he prefers to relax instead of pushing the rim. But against the Brooklyn Nets, he dominated inside, much to Ham\’s pleasure. So that was definitely not the case.

Darvin Ham, Lakers\’ head coach, addressed the media following this Sunday\’s 13-point victory over the Nets. In the course of the chat, he disclosed that his goal was to find ways to increase Davis\’ touches and put him in a better rhythm, particularly now that LeBron was not playing. Ham disclosed that he had told Davis to lead the group that started the game.

On Sunday, Davis benefited from Ham\’s ideas. In the end, he finished with 37 points and 18 rebounds, 10 of which were offensive in relation to a diminutive Nets front line. Except for two shots, all of the Lakers\’ big man\’s attempts were made in the paint. He also attempted seven free throws, all of which he made. Having the opportunity to teach Anthony Davis, Darvin Ham was overjoyed to watch him perform at such a high level and was full of admiration for him.

Darvin Ham wanted Davis to be the primary starter for the starters since LeBron James missed his second straight game on Sunday due to a groin issue. However, there must be a recurring pattern. Anthony needed to play that way since James wasn\’t in the lineup. Davis must be dominating every time he steps onto the floor, LeBron or no LeBron. The Brow\’s inconsistent play has been a problem. Anthony Davis must be more reliable if the Lakers are to win this season.

In the meantime, Ham has a strategy in mind for his squad in light of the Lakers\’ unexpected four-day hiatus. The Lakers head coach has every day scheduled, but his team\’s primary goal is to keep getting better. As their recent performances have given him hope for that.
