A few years ago, Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley had an infamous clash on the court during a Thunder vs. Rockets Game. Since then, there has been a feud between the two. However, Beverley and Westbrook reconciled their differences and buried the hatchet when Patrick joined LA Lakers earlier this year. However, Russell\’s old teammate Kevin Durant is not a big fan of Beverley. Meanwhile, Beverley and Durant clashed again on Sunday night in the Lakers vs. Net game. And the intensity between the two was visible. However, the back and forth has not ended even after the game.

The animosity between Beverley and Durant was reignited on Sunday night once again when Beverley\’s Lakers defeated Durant\’s Nets 116-103. Beverley finished with two points and five fouls, while Kevin Durant finished with 31 points in the defeat. But in a hilarious move, Patrick Beverley claimed some of the glory, claiming that by defending Kevin Durant, he set the tone for LA to respond.

Durant recorded only eight points and three assists in the opening period. The most dramatic defensive play, though, was made by Westbrook, who blocked a former OKC teammate at the conclusion of the first quarter. KD, though, laughed aside the notion that Beverley had silenced him. He had a stat line of 31 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and 50% field goal shooting. Despite what happened in the end, nobody restrained him. KD was being KD, playing hard and dripping bucket after bucket.

A fan by the name of Trey Brown tweeted Beverley\’s claim that he is not lying. However, this morning, Kevin Durant replied to his post with the straightforward statement, \”yes, he is brother.\” Given Durant\’s answer, it\’s safe to assume that he doesn\’t think Patrick Beverley\’s defense had an impact on him. Durant produced a respectable stat line despite the defeat, with 31 points and seven assists.

In the opening round of the 2019 playoffs, Patrick Beverley and Durant fought. Pat Bev\’s approach in Game 1 was to aggravate KD to the maximum extent, which resulted in a double expulsion for both players. Their rivalry dates back to 2006, their first year of college when Beverley\’s Arkansas Razorbacks lost to Durant\’s Texas Longhorns by a score of 80–76.

Brooklyn Nets, however, has been playing significantly better recently, winning four of five games prior to Sunday\’s loss. They defeated the Hornets, Knicks, Wizards, and Clippers at that time without Kyrie Irving. The Lakers, on the other hand, were unquestionably pleased to obtain a victory. Due to a disastrous start to the season, the squad remains towards the bottom of the standings. They are currently 3-10 on the points table, and if they want to make a turnaround, they must do so quickly before it is too late.
