Jos Butler & Jack Leach Marked Their Return To England\’s Squad For The 5th Test Against India

England and Wales Cricket Board announced a new 16-man squad for the fifth and the final test match against India. In this newly announced team, Jos Butler and Jack Leach marked their return to England\’s squad for the series finale.

Jack Leach & Jos Butler Return to England\’s Squad

India defeated England in the 4th test that took place at the Ovals by 157 runs and took the lead of 2-1 in the series. Now, England has to win the fifth match in order to draw the series. Therefore, the Wales cricket board doesn\’t want to take any chance as they bring back one of their key players Jos Butler for the upcoming test match. This wicketkeeper-batsmen missed the fourth test match against India due to the birth of their second child.

Somerset spinner Jack Leach has also been added to England\’s squad for their fifth test match. It is likely that he would be a part of the playing XI of the final test match that will take place at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.

However, in the newly announced squad, Sam Billings lost his position. Jos Butler will reclaim his position as vice-caption, and due to this addition, Ollie Pope might not make it to the playing XI of the final test. England\’s Squad collapsed against India in the second innings of the fourth test. Therefore, now their main focus would be on improving their batting lineup. James Anderson is already doing pretty well in leading the pace attack, and now Jack Leach will also help him in taking some wickets.
