“It Is For Wikipedia,” Toto Wolff Mocks Max Verstappen As The Red Bull Driver Secures Another MEGA Win

Toto Wolff Max

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is having the time of his life on the F1 grid. Nobody even comes close to his speed. It seems the result of every race is inevitably seeing the Red Bull driver on top. Even after all the upgrades, the Mercedes car is just not fast yet to compete for a win. Moreover, Ferrari had a more successful weekend at Monza, their home track. The Italian Grand Prix saw Mercedes fall further behind Red Bull and Ferrari. The teammates of these three powerhouses finished behind each other in the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Red Bull enjoyed yet another one-two finish this season in Monza. On the other hand, Carlos Sainz of Ferrari finished at P3, securing a podium for himself and his team. The other Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, finished at P4 behind his teammate. But the Dutchman can surely go on to win the remaining eight races. Moreover, he can be the first driver to win 20 races in a season. If that happens, then it would be too ridiculously hard to beat. Recently, in an interview with Sky Sports, Toto Wolff discredits Max’s achievement on Sunday.

Toto Wolff Mocks The Record Of Max Verstappen

According to the Mercedes boss, nobody cares or reads about these records. However, Wolff believes these records are apt for Wikipedia. He clearly mentioned he does not care about records, as his team has two drivers who fought against each other within the team. However, Max Verstappen seemed very happy as a driver and also as a part of the team that won 15 consecutive races. He wants to keep pushing for more.

Meanwhile, the Red Bull team has not taken the comments of the rival team’s boss very well. As Calum Nicholas, Red Bull technician, mentioned, there was too much salt for Toto Wolff after Max Verstappen broke the record. It is a pity that the rivals of Mercedes have always enjoyed the most wins in a row record. Perhaps that is the reason why Toto Wolff was getting so salty after the victory of Max Verstappen.

Ferrari A New Major Threat For Mercedes

Moreover, the Mercedes duo, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were right behind the Ferrari drivers. Russell finished at P5, and the seven-time champion finished right behind his teammate at P6. However, that’s not what Toto Wolff was hoping for. The Mercedes boss knows that Red Bull is way too fast for them. But the Brackley team wants to hold on to the second spot behind the Red Bull team. However, Ferrari’s progress can be a new threat for the former constructor champions.

On the other hand, it is annoying for Mercedes’s boss to see his rivals dominate the grid the way they have been doing. Finally, Max Verstappen broke Sebastian Vettel’s record for most consecutive Grand Prix victories. After a tough fight against Carlos Sainz, the Red Bull driver won his 10th race win in a row on Sunday in Monza. The Austrian team has maintained their unbeaten run even after 14 races. Max Verstappen has won 12 so far from these 14 GPs.
