India vs. England T20 World Cup Warm-up Match: Ishan Kishan Shines as India Beats England By 7 Wickets

India defeated England by 7 wickets in their first T20 World Cup warm-up match. Everyone expected India vs. England to be more of a thriller. However, with the help of Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul\’s brilliant knocks, India managed to secure the win by the end of the 19th over. Rishabh Pant finished off the things in the same manner, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul started. Pant hit a giant six when Indian needed three runs in seven balls. 

India vs. England: England Innings

England team set a challenging total of 188 runs in their very first warm-up game of the T20 World Cup. Johnny Bairstow scored 49 runs on 36 balls and was the highest run-scorer from the side of England. Moeen Ali also performed extraordinarily well and scored 43 runs on 20 balls, and went not out. It was Moeen Ali\’s ferocious knock that helped England reach the total of 188. Jason Roy and Jos Buttler failed to impress as they scored 17 and 18 runs, respectively. Mohammad Shami took three big wickets for India, whereas Bumrah and Deepak Chahar managed to get one each. 

   

India vs. England: India\’s Innings

KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan started the inning for Team India. Both of them decided to give a really hard time to the bowlers of England. India lost its first wicket at the score of 82 in the form of KL Rahul, who scored 51 runs on 24 balls with a strike rate of 212.50. Indian skipper Virat Kohli wasn\’t really impressive in the warm-up match. He scored only 11 runs on 13 balls and didn\’t even hit a single boundary. The batsman who impressed the most was Ishan Kishan. He retired after scoring 70 runs on 46 balls. Rishabh Pant completed the job by scoring 29 runs on 14 balls. He went not out along with Hardik Pandya, who scored 12 runs on 10 balls. The brilliant start by Kishan and Rahul led Team India to an effortless win. 

India\’s Second T20 World Cup Warm-up Match

India will face Australia in their second ICC T20 World Cup match on October 20 at 3.30 PM in Dubai. The fans can expect this match to be a nail-biting competition as both India and Australia are prime contenders to win the T20 World Cup this year. Also, India will try to remain undefeated before officially starting their ICC T20 World Cup on October 24 against Pakistan.
