FINALLY! Lakers Win Their First Preseason Game, Anthony Davis\’ Surprising Game Lead To The Victory

Anthony Davis

When all your fans are hoping for an epic comeback, three straight defeats in the preseason isn\’t exactly how you want to start your campaign. But luckily, the Lakers finally managed to find their rhythm on Sunday in their encounter against Golden State Warriors. Another good news that came for the Lakers fans on Sunday was that Anthony Davis was fit and made his way back into the playing side.

LA Lakers Defeat Warriors Amid Davis\’ Resurgence!

The Los Angeles Lakers have finally recorded a victory. It\’s their first win in 10 preseason contests dating back to their dismal preseason of 2021. In a thrilling contest, the Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors without Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, 124-121. The victory was even more meaningful for the Lakers camp since they defeated the Warriors while missing several crucial players, including LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Patrick Beverley.

The aforementioned Lakers stars over 30 turned out to be a no-show tonight. However, Anthony Davis, the big guy, did make a comeback after sitting out two games. He pounded the Warriors\’ big men for three quarters. Starting positions for the offense included point guard Austin Reaves and shooting guard Lonnie Walker. And small forward Max Christie, power forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, and center Anthony Davis. The game\’s opening quarter turned out to be a high-scoring encounter. The score was tied at 35-35 at the end of the period because both teams played each other evenly.

The Lakers appeared to be taking to heart Darvin Ham\’s advice to pick up the tempo. In the frame, they did a number of good downhill moves, frequently involving Davis or Juan Toscano-Anderson. After the Lakers\’ defeat to Minnesota on Thursday, many people assumed that Juan would be benched. But Ham made the decision to start him. This terrific lob pass to AD for a devastating dunk was one of Anderson\’s many excellent calculations on the floor tonight.

Anthony Davis Makes Headlines!

One of the biggest positives for the Lakers side on Sunday\’s game was that Anthony Davis regained his fitness and did his magic on the court. Anthony spent a large of the last season warming the bench due to several injury concerns. Meanwhile, during earlier preseason encounters, the star again complained about back issues. But luckily, it was nothing serious, as Davis walked back into the playing side against the Warriors.

On Sunday night, Anthony Davis made a successful comeback to preseason play by scoring a game-high 28 points in a victory over the Golden State Warriors that ended 124-121. Davis stood out as a center, going 9 for 18, including a pair of three-pointers and an ideal 8 for eight free throw performance. These are good signs for the Lakers and their fans, as Davis\’ fitness and form will be imperative for the team\’s campaign this year.
