\”F1 Will Not See Something Like Hamilton-Verstappen\’s Fierce Rivalry In The Next 20 Years,\” Claims Christian Horner!

Lewis Hamilton-Max Verstappen

The 2021 season of Formula One was different in many aspects. Whether it be Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen\’s fierce rivalry or the entire fiasco in the Abu Dabi, there will be many things the season will be remembered for. Meanwhile, the Red Bull team boss Christian Horner believes that the epic title fight between Hamilton and Verstappen is something fans will not see for another two decades.

Christian Horner Explains Hamilton-Verstappen Rivalry!

Throughout the season, the two main contenders for the championship engaged in a head-to-head battle. In Abu Dhabi\’s last-lap shootout, Verstappen controversially defeated Hamilton. Christian Horner, the CEO of Red Bull, recently spoke about the historic championship race between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. According to Horner, the excitement of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen\’s dramatic championship battle from last season won\’t happen again in the next 20 years.

Horner believes that it was the most widely watched sporting event in the past year, if not the last five. He also emphasized that it\’s unlikely that another championship like it will be held in the next 20 years. It was really epic. Max Verstappen supporters were furious and believed it was retaliation for what had happened earlier in the year, which is one thing. On the other hand, Hamilton supporters felt that the race was unfair and had been tampered with. Horner acknowledges that the battle has galvanized F1 in some way.

Can Max Verstappen Still Lose 2021 F1 Title Because Of Red Bull?

Last week, FIA declared Red Bull guilty of breaching the budget cap in the 2021 Formula One season. However, the governing body is yet to determine a punishment for the team. Even though many people believe the punishment would not be severe as the budget violation was minor, former F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone believes things could get worse for Max Verstappen.

The Dutchman is currently awaiting word on the financial rules violation fine that his club may incur. Hamilton now has faith that he might yet win a record-breaking eighth Formula One championship thanks to the 91-year-old\’s remarks. Recently, Red Bull\’s violation of the financial rules has dominated the conversation in the sports world.

In 2021, the 25-year-old narrowly defeated Hamilton by eight points to win the championship. As a result, there have been rumors that the British man may win his eighth championship. However, a few more points would still be required for the Mercedes team to win the crown. And because the Red Bull violation was deemed \”small,\” it is anticipated that the FIA will refrain from docking points for it.
