Formula 1 is an amazing sport where one team could be dominating all at one moment, and everything could go wrong in another. And it can happen to any team on the grid in the long season of 21-23 races around the year. But since the last three years, Red Bull are the team dominating everyone. The technological enhancement is loyal to no one, and the innovation and ideas could easily exchange hands with anyone. Therefore it is tough to establish consistency in sports, but those who manage to do so go ahead of all the other competitors. Therefore F1 can not be predicted.

Red Bull has dominated the scene this year by winning all three races at the beginning of the season. With a car that is crazy fast than its competitors, Max Verstappen has led all three races. And as happy as the Red Bull and Austrians fans are for the team, others have shown discontent. And the reason could be seeing one team dominate another by miles. Moreover, the followers who are not happy with Red Bull’s domination are the long-term followers of the sport who have witnessed the dominance of Mercedes in the last decade. Even the CEO Stefano Domenicali agreed.

Older Audience Are Concerned About F1

In the last four years, Formula One has pickup up new popularity among sports enthusiasts around the world. This new audience, however, does not come directly from the viewership of the sports. Instead, these people are coming after watching the dramatic ‘Drive to Survive’ series on Netflix. And since everything is new to them, they are not affected by the domination of one team. But the people connected with sports for a long period of time have shown some signs of concern.

CEO Stefano talked about the issue at greater length and later discussed that they want to make sure that there is competition in the ecosystem. He also pointed out that “I would say if I look today, in the markets where we are growing, this factor is not so relevant as you think. And this is, in a way, very interesting to share. But that’s the truth.

Red Bull Domination From The Start Of The Season

Although it is still a long way to go, Red Bull has established that they are here to win the competition again. Their domination could be understood by seeing their last year’s stat, where they won 20 out of 25 races. Ever since the budget restriction has come along, there has been no stopping Red Bull.

Stefano Domenicali wants everyone to close the gaps between the former champions. There is a lot of potential in the teams like Aston Martin, Mercedes, and Ferrari, who could challenge Red Bull. And since it is a long season, it would be foolish to undermine all the teams as of yet.
