An ideal F1 driver will have qualities like talent, passion, hard work, and a bit of luck. While it’s nearly impossible to achieve perfection in this world, as everyone has their flaws, Lewis Hamilton comes remarkably close to being the ideal F1 driver. He is in a league of his own, whether it’s stats, mindset, or pure racing gameplay. With seven world titles to his name, the Briton is undoubtedly among the best drivers in motorsport history.

Although the 39-year-old racer had to endure a patchy period over the last few months, he was brutally trolled for failing to win a single race. Further, his racing skills were criticized by the expert. As a result, Hamilton started to lose his zeal, appearing dull during every post-race interview. However, the legendary driver has revitalized his zeal.

Lewis Hamilton usually radiates ‘happy vibes’ regardless of the result. The Briton is not shy about praising his crew and takes time to appreciate the heroes behind the scenes. However, during the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Briton was visibly frustrated, a rare event. The season was filled with flaws and miseries. However, the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell scored consistent points, placing the team on P2. At the same time, it was a terrible season for the seven-time world champion, as he finished in ninth spot. After the season’s ultimate race, he was asked about the best thing from 2023. To which downbeat Hamilton replied with, “I survived.” He further emphasized that despite not having upgraded the car since August, Red Bull still managed to defeat Mercedes by a 17-second margin. Thus, he underscored the team’s urgent need to improve their performance.

Furthermore, the Briton entered the 2024 season with little to no hope. He was deranged by being outperformed by his teammate Russell. During the Monaco GP, Hamilton appeared gloomy, admitting he couldn’t out-qualify Russell this season. Even the scoreline of 8-1 favored the young British racer. Later, the Mercedes introduced a game-changing upgrade ahead of the Candian GP. Consequently, Russell bagged the pole and finished on the podium. This further aggravated Hamilton’s woes, as he marked Canada GP as his worst outing ever.

However, while an average individual might have given up after a string of misfortunes, this is how legends are made, as the Canada GP lit a fire in Hamilton. Since then, the iconic racer has scored at least 15 points in every race, ending the curse of ‘not winning a race.’ Now, the F1 aficionados are witnessing Hamilton 2.0, who looks unstoppable.

The Summer Break Will Make Hamilton Dangerous

While the Briton consistently scores points, he might be even more dangerous after the summer break reset. Despite being in a slump, Hamilton was the only driver, apart from Verstappen, to score points in every race in 2023.

Subsequently, the past suggests he gets a more fierce post-summer break. The Briton is raging with confidence and self-belief. He is comfortable in the W15 and is ready to extend his glory. While the world title is out of the scene, he could still aim for the third or even second spot.
