Max Verstappen is the most dominant driver in the current F1 grid. He has not let any other driver steal his thunder in the last two years. Apparently, he always figures out a way to win, even if he does not have a great qualifying session. It is not that simple for other drivers. Generally, F1 drivers try to get a hint about what kind of weekend it might be in the qualifying sessions. That’s why they depend mostly on the results of the qualifying session. But Max Verstappen stays pretty indifferent toward the Qualifying sessions.

He values the final race day more than anything. Perhaps that’s the reason why he has been able to win so many races in such a short time. Moreover, it explains why he hates the sprint format. Perhaps the Dutch driver prefers to avoid extra races and energy before the final race day. Recently, an F1 expert explained how different Max is from the rest.

Scott Mitchell-Malm Explained What Makes Max Verstappen So Different From The Rest

Recently, on the Race Podcast, Mitchell-Malm revealed what aspect stood out for him about Verstappen in his latest interview. The F1 pundit said that drivers generally feels qualifying is the pinnacle because the car is much lighter, and it is really the peak of the weekend for them. Moreover, the drivers put everything on the line in qualifying as during race starts they have the softest tires. Adding to that, Mitchell-Malm mentioned the drivers feels qualifying is really a proper “Performance Crescendo.” But during his interview with Max Verstappen, Scott realized he prefers Sundays.

The F1 pundit believes that Verstappen never compromises his competitive attitude. He does not look at qualifying in the way other drivers look at them. He loves to beat people, and that’s his favorite thing to do in F1, says Scott. Other drivers might think they love to win, but Max Verstappen really loves winning. Moreover, the Red Bull driver has the attitude that says, “Anybody can do a quick lap, but winning a Grand Prix is a challenge.” Max never forgets the value of a fast car. He says it is essential for a car to run longer on any set of tires.

How Fast Can Max Break Hamilton’s Record?

The Dutch driver has won 34 races in the previous two seasons. He won 10 races in 2021. Clearly, no other driver had a chance to catch up to him. After all these wins, Max has become the third most successful driver in F1’s history in terms of most race wins. Lewis Hamilton leads the list with 103 wins, and Michael Schumacher is in second place with 91 GP wins.

But the way things are going, Max Verstappen might not wait too long to surpass the Mercedes star. He has won the three titles in such a dominating style, albeit the 2021 season was pretty competitive. But the last two seasons proved that as long as Red Bull provides Max Verstappen with the fastest car, he will continue to win.
