Judge

Without a doubt, Aaron Judge is certainly the biggest name in the MLB free agency for this year. After the kind of season Judge had, it is not surprising that many teams want him for the next season. And after weeks of rumors and news, the battle for Aaron Judge is now down to three teams.

Judge\’s previous team, the Yankees, has been considered by many as the frontrunner in the race to hire the terrific slugger. But at the same time, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants are also not far behind in the race. Meanwhile, an MLB insider has suggested that Dodger might not pursue Judge with as much intensity as the other two teams.

Mookie Betts & Gavin Lux\’s Future With The Dodgers In Doubt

The Los Angeles Dodgers still have a horse in the race for Aaron Judge. Meanwhile, according to MLB analyst Jon Morosi, if the Dodgers are successful in acquiring Judge, they may decide to make a significant change to the way Mookie Betts and Gavin Lux are used. It is nothing new for Mookie Betts to play second base. He\’s done it before, as Morosi noted.

Even earlier in the summer, there were hints that the Dodgers may shift Betts to second if they decided to pursue Aaron Judge. The possibility of Betts and Lux exchanging roles is also gaining traction as their purported interest in Judge intensifies. In 2023, it wouldn\’t be shocking to see the Dodgers\’ Mookie Betts, Gavin Lux, and Aaron Judge playing up the middle while Judge watches right field.

What Did Dodgers Insider Say About Aaron Judge\’s Free Agency?

It is not an exaggeration to say that over the past few years, almost every big free agent gets linked to the Dodgers at some point or the other. The situation has been similar in Aaron Judge\’s case.

Previously, there have been several reports that the Dodgers were pursuing Aaron Judge with all they\’ve got. Even some rumors suggested that the team even placed an offer on the table for the slugger. However, MLB network\’s Bill Plunkett has recently claimed the Dodgers will be interested in signing free agent Aaron Judge. But they don\’t seem as eager to do so as some other teams.

According to Bill, the Dodgers will pursue each and every available free agent. However, he might not wind up with the Dodgers. Bill predicts that the Yankees, Mets, and Giants will be more inclined to give Aaron what he wants in terms of compensation. He doesn\’t think the Dodgers will go to as much trouble to sign him as they did with Mookie Betts. He will essentially be seeking that contract.
