Christian Horner Blames Mercedes & Ferrari For Gaslighting FIA Regarding Red Bull’s Dominance

Red Bull Boss Christian Horner

Red Bull Boss Christian Horner is a very successful team principal in F1 history. Before Mercedes had their hegemony in the turbo-hybrid era, it was Horner and Sebastian Vettel’s success story all along. They were unbeatable from 2010 to 2013. But then Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton had an even bigger success story.

In 2021 Christian Horner was able to enjoy the driver’s world championship again because of Max Verstappen. Next year Max won again, and that time the team won the constructor’s title as well. In the current season, it looks like Horner and his team are about to taste another success, winning both constructor’s and driver’s world championships.

Christian Horner Feels That Rivals Are Lobbying Against His Team

Amidst this success, Horner wants the team to stay aware of the other team’s strengths and never underestimate them. The Red Bull boss is very mindful of the fact that different groups will try to pull them down in any way they can. He has been part of the industry for a long time and knows how things work there.

Red Bull boss thinks that any new technical directive can turn out to be a game changer at any time. He believes that the rival teams are lobbying against them to the governing body, FIA. Red Bull is currently enjoying complete dominance on the F1 table, with the two drivers occupying the first and the second positions. They got the best car on the grid, and hence it is helping the two drivers immensely. No team is managing to come close to their speed.

Red Bull Looks Unbeatable In The Cost Cap Era

In the cost cap era, Red Bull might be the only team to adapt as well as they have. In the current season, the two Red Bull drivers seem to do no wrong. Last race in Jeddah, Max Verstappen, the current top-ranking driver, fell back to the 15th position. He was not fully fit the whole day due to stomach illness, and that slowed him down. But the champion that he is, the Dutchman, raced to the second position at the end. In the final lap, Max Verstappen achieved the fastest lap time. That helped him win an extra point, and thus he is still leading the standings. Checo is a point behind the Dutchman. Currently, there is no threat to Christian Horner and his team. Albeit, the fans are excited to see an inner battle in Red Bull between their two drivers.

Sergio Perez has expressed the desire to win the whole thing and not play the role of a supporting driver to Max Verstappen anymore. Max is not looking to back down either and chasing the third title in a row with all his heart. After Checo won the last Grand Prix in Saudia Arabia, the Dutchman expressed disappointment. Verstappen mentioned, “I’m not happy because I’m not here to come second.” But Christian Horner is not worried about the fight between his two drivers. Instead, he is more concerned with what other teams are conspiring against his side.
