The New York Yankees have been on a roll since the start of the 2024 season. It is like the team is firing from all cylinders. That’s a great sign for a team who are looking to redeem themselves. Last year was terrible for the 27-time World Series champions. They finished fourth in the American League East division. Moreover, the NY side had a horrible 82-80 record. As a result, it was their worst season in the last 30 years. Adding to that, the Bronx Bombers had the second-worst hitting average in the league in 2023.

Coming from that forgettable season to the new season, the Yankees Faithful are happy to see their team enjoying a great start. It has been more than a month of the 2024 regular season, and the NY side is at present 24-13. They are a close second to the Baltimore Orioles, who are sitting at the top of the AL East. Lately, the Yankees blew the Houston Astros away with a 10-3 win. In the post-game interview, a relieved Aaron Boone said they are trying to stay humble at this point.

Justin Verlander is the ace pitcher of the Houston Astros whom the Yankees took for cleaners on Tuesday. In the last few games, the NY side’s offense was surprisingly a bit quiet during at-bats. But against the Astros, they started hitting rockets once again. Unfortunately for Verlander and the Astros, they had to face the wrath of the offense of the Bronx Bombers. Aaron Boone’s side nullified the threat of Justin Verlander. Nobody really thought that they could take him out for cleaners. Nevertheless, Aaron Boone says that staying humble is the key. In the post-game press conference, the Yankees skipper mentioned that some guys in the team is proving that they are capable of “Getting it going as a whole.”

Moreover, the Bronx Bomber’s manager mentioned that it won’t be possible for the hitters to have offensive runs like that every night against pitchers like Verlander. Nonetheless, Boone believes his team is quite capable of doing that. Moreover, the skipper talked about balance within the team, as some guys are getting it rolling, and some others are carrying the team forward. Anyway, Boone believes they are still growing in a lot of ways. Hence, Aaron Boone said it is ideal just to stay humble and “Turn the page.”

Aaron Boone said his main focus at present is on “Tomorrow.” Moreover, the manager hopes his team will repeat the same feat in the next game offensively. But winning 10-3 does not happen every day. Moreover, 7 out of those 10 runs came from Verlander’s pitches.

Alex Verdugo, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Volpe took Verlander to the cleaners. Three home runs cost the Astros heavily. But it has been a huge change in hitting Justin Verlander like that for the Yankees. Prior to this game, the Astros’ ace was a big thorn for the NY side. However, with this huge win, the fans believe their team has escaped “A ghost of the past.”
