The New York Yankees are looking to redeem themselves in the next season. Moreover, they had an awful season this year. Hence, the team is looking for big changes in the roster. Moreover, captain Aaron Judge has some good ideas for what the changes might look like. The important thing is that the Yankees don’t need aging veterans but exceptional players to open the gates of the next World Series. Hence, the Yankees are looking at quality free agents this offseason.

Recently, one potential lineup has gone viral on social media, and fans are expressing their excitement over it. This lineup includes Juan Soto, DJ LeMahieu, Cody Bellinger, Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Gleybar Torres, Jason Dominguez, Anthony Volpe, Austin Wells, Gerrit Cole, Michael King, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Nestor Cortes Jr. and Carlos Rodon.

Fans Have Mixed Feelings About The Stunning Potential Lineup

The lineup does look stunning. For a long time this offseason, experts have added Juan Soto as a viable option for a newly signed player. If Soto is hard to get, then the Yankees can try Cody Bellinger, another lefty hitter that they’ve been looking for. But if the Yankees get them both, then there’s nothing like it. Fans have different reactions to the lineup. Some showed full support, and some said, “It’s too good to be true.” It is a “Dream Team” or not, but the Yankees do need another star hitter besides Aaron Judge. They’ve always been heavily dependent on Judge, and this season, it cost them badly.

One toe injury, and Aaron Judge was out for over a month. The Yankees need players who can replace a star offensive player. In 2023, the Bronx Bombers had the second-worst batting average. They don’t want to repeat that in 2024. Moreover, the NY side has not played in the World Series since 2009. That’s why Aaron Judge mentioned the franchise needs significant changes to make it to the “Big Dance” after more than a decade. The owner, Hal Steinbrenner, mentioned the changes will happen in the personnel as well as in the roster.

Yankees Will Look To Get Rid Of Any Extra Baggage In The Roster

Lately, they were not performing so well but reached the postseason in the last few seasons. However, this season, the Bronx Bombers failed to make the postseason. It was a tremendous shame for the 27-time World Series winners. Hence, the organization is looking to utilize the extra month of the offseason they got this year. First of all, the NY side plans to get rid of all those players who have just been taking up a lot of space in the roster. That’s how they would like to kickstart their offseason signings in free agency.

It is a good plan because there have been plenty of players who have contributed less but stayed out due to either suspensions or injuries. Moreover, the Yankees had been through a lot of injuries this season. Hence, Hal Steinbrenner, Aaron Boone, and the Yankees front office will look for healthy and young players to get in the side. The Yankees have long been stagnant with their roster. It is high time to make big changes. Now, what are they going to do about it?
