Aaron Judge is one of the best power hitters of modern-day baseball and quite possibly of all time. Every fan of the New York Yankees knows that the California Native loves hitting home runs. Ever since his MLB debut, the current captain of the Bronx Bombers has proved that no ballpark is long enough for him. He can go long in any ballpark he wants. That’s the pure strength of the 2022 American League MVP. Moreover, over the years, he has refined his swing and hitting. In his debut season back in 2017, Aaron Judge made a record as he hit more than 50 home runs. Later, in 2019, the crosstown rivals had a debutant named Pete Alonso, who broke Judge’s record.

But that did not stop the California native from making more offensive records. In 2022, when he was going to be a free agent in the offseason, the superstar slugger ensured that his value in the market increased. After all, he broke the AL single-season homer record that belonged to the Yankees legend Roger Maris since 1961. As a result, Judge won the 2022 AL MVP. Later that year, he signed a record nine-year deal for a free agent back then worth $360 million. In 2024, Aaron Judge became the fastest to hit 300 MLB home runs.

Aaron Judge Got To 300 HR In Style

So far, in the ongoing season, the Yankees captain has been playing on another level. He leads the league in several offensive categories. At present, Aaron Judge is standing on the top of the most home run list in 2024 with 44 HRs. Back in April, it did not look good for the 2022 AL MVP. He had a very slow start, as he took seven games to hit his first home run. From that stage to mid-August, Aaron Judge turned things around brilliantly. On August 14, the Yankees captain hit his 300th career home run. He helped his team win 10-2 against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.

Aaron Judge reached the 300-home run mark faster than anyone before in the league’s history. He took only 955 games to hit 300 home runs. On the other hand, Ralph Kiner, who’s second on that list, took 1,087 games to get there. To achieve the 300 HR mark, Judge took 3,431 at-bats in his MLB career. The GOAT, Babe Ruth, took 3,831 at-bats to reach the 300 home run mark. On Wednesday, he did it in the eighth inning when he hit a three-run home run. The six-time All-Star blew the sinker from Chad Kuhl in the left into the bullpen of the White Sox.

Yankees Manager Couldn’t Be Happier For The Captain

After Wednesday’s game, as per ABC News, Aaron Boone mentioned that very few players ever had as great a season as Judge is having this year. Moreover, the manager said there is only a select few in MLB’s history who had enjoyed such a season. On top of that, Boone said Aaron Judge is really a great leader and a great player.

Moreover, the skipper believes that everyone in the team feels pumped as the slugger became the fastest to reach that mark. He did not even had to play a 1000 game yet. Now, the question is how many homers Judge will end up hitting this year overall. Can he break the all-time Barry Bonds’ record?
