Stephen Curry is one of the best players in modern-day basketball. He has won several titles throughout his career. Moreover, he has been a two-time NBA MVP. Adding to that, the skinny kid from Akron, Ohio, has won four NBA Championships. Throughout his career, the point guard has played for one NBA team – the Golden State Warriors. Will he finish his career playing with the same team? It seems doubtful at present. After all, Steph’s ‘Splash Brother’ Klay Thompson left the Dubs this offseason to join the Dallas Mavericks.
The veteran sharpshooter was looking for a fresh start with another franchise. What if Curry plans to do the same soon? It would be a massive loss for the Warriors. Fans believe Steph is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. The greatest shooter is one of the most prominent faces of the league in modern times. Moreover, Curry is famous for his trademark celebrations, especially the ‘Night Night’ celebration. Lately, he has tried to protect his viral celebration legally.
Stephen Curry Files A Trademark For The Phrase “Nuit. Nuit”
The greatest shooter in the game was magnificent in the semi-final against Serbia and also in the Final against the home team, France, in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Stephen Curry hit his “Night Night” pose as Team USA won the Gold medal again. After Steph’s celebration at the end of the Final game, the French phrase “Nuit. Nuit” became a trend. It was after Mike Fogg, a Filipino designer, made a custom shirt for the legendary point guard that the French phrase became a trend. Later, Stephen Curry took a selfie while holding on to his gold medal while wearing the custom shirt. Since then, several days have passed, but lately, Curry filed a trademark for the phrase “Nuit.Nuit.” Cllct’s Darren Rovell explained the legal actions the three-point King took.
Rovell mentioned that SC30, the corporation of Stephen Curry, has trademarked the phrase “Nuit.Nuit.” After Steph helped Team USA win the gold medal, he and his corporation cleverly rolled out the French phrase. On August 14, the greatest shooter filed to trademark the phrase in Europe and then five days later in his own country. Moreover, the US filing noted that the corporation has intentions to use the phrase on “All apparels.” Since Curry is the first to file for the French phrase, he won’t have to wait in line behind anyone else.
