Stephen Curry had to wait almost a whole career to make his Olympics debut. But he used his experiences of the 2010 and 2014 FIBA World Cups to score 11 points in his debut Olympic game. He had 4 of 8 shooting with three of seven attempts from the three-point range. However, Serbia, early in the game was leading 10-2. Later, in the interview with San Francisco Chronicle, Curry said that the human tendency is to let your imaginations get the best of you.

He said that Coach Steve Kerr criticized him at one point for letting an opponent score on a back cut. Hence, Curry says, “You might think ‘We can’t lose the game.'” Then, the timeout happened, and they got their nerves to settle in and adjust to the environment. Finally, Team USA cruised to victory.
