The current driver roster is more unpredictable than the Formula One race itself. While one may anticipate the outcome of a race, it is nearly impossible to forecast who will drive for which team. The entire paddock has been reshuffled following Hamilton’s Ferrari transfer. Red Bull, on the other hand, sought to restore order in the midst of internal instability. As a result, it kept Sergio Perez and extended his contract for another two years.

However, the decision quickly backfired when the Mexican driver collided with a roadblock. The expert driver failed to score any points. In addition, he has been involved in two collisions, which have cost his team a significant amount of money. As a result, the ‘external voices’ suggest that Checo will soon be replaced. Among all the available options, Daniel Ricciardo could be the perfect choice for Christian Horner & Co.

While there has been no official word from any RBR officials, a source from Motorsport.com claims Horner favors Ricciardo. Thus, if the claims are correct, Ricciardo and his closest buddy, Max Verstappen, may be signed up as Checo’s driver replacement. However, it may be perilous to terminate a driver in the middle of a season. However, Checo’s performance is putting pressure on his squad. Thus, it would not be shocking if the team ended his contract early.

In a recent media interview, Ricciardo highlighted the intensity of Formula One, hinting at his RBR promotion. The Australian driver noted the constant pressure on Formula One drivers, regardless of their success. He emphasized that all drivers, including those who do extraordinarily well, are under continual pressure to maintain high standards. Ricciardo recognized his time in the limelight this year, as well, and placed on Sergio Perez.

Furthermore, Ricciardo underlined that a successful race cannot permanently remove this strain. Despite a terrific performance in Montreal, he acknowledged that another excellent outcome is required to maintain the momentum. He recognized that Max Verstappen had greatly surpassed Perez, raising hopes for the latter. Furthermore, he stated that being under the limelight is a part of the sport, and drivers must learn to handle it. The continual media questioning and scrutiny may be overpowering. Nonetheless, experienced drivers such as Ricciardo and Perez have learned to focus on their engineering and vehicle setup, blocking out the noise and embracing the difficulties.

On the other hand, Perez said that the Belgian GP would not be his final race with Red Bull. Checo told Motorsport-Total.com that the team is confident in his racing talents. He stressed his contract conditions, emphasizing that no ‘exit provision’ allows the organization to cancel his contract in the middle of the season. The Mexican driver now has a two-year deal with the Milton Keynes-based firm. Thus, despite having various possibilities, RBR management would most likely stick with Perez, hoping for a positive outcome.
