Sebastian Vettel is one of the most skilled and successful racers in F1 history. The German Marque won four consecutive world championships for Red Bull, announcing the arrival of the Milton Keynes-based outfit. Vettel was the youngest racer (21 years and 74 days) to get pole position. Later, he became the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix.  Moreover, Vettel went on to win four world titles between 2010 and 2013. During that phase, the competition peaked as drivers like Hamilton, Raikkonen, Alonso, and Schumacher were in the run. The German drivers steered the Red Bull F1 car to four straight triumphs. While his dominant run was nothing short of a fairytale, 2014 ended the dream. He failed to win a single race throughout the season. However, he moved to Scuderia and did wonderfully well, giving Hamilton tough competition. Later, he decided to call it off after a remarkable F1 career. Thus, in the midway 2022 season, he announced his retirement.

After two years, rumors of Vettel’s F1 comeback are surfacing. Recently, Helmut Makro said the former world champion constantly talks with management about a potential re-entry. During an interview with Formula1.de, Marko suggested Vettel keeps inquiring about a spot at Red Bull. However, Marko feels driving alongside an in-form driver like Verstappen could be ‘unpleasant.’ Further, he advised Vettel to continue his pursuit of long-distance racing with Porsche. On the other hand, when the media asked the 36-year-old driver of an F1 comeback, he denied it. He suggested there is no plan for a comeback. Thus, the contrasting statements from the two veterans sparked speculations.

Furthermore, he believes the expense would now preclude future growth. Ultimately, he expressed concern about Ferrari and McLaren’s growing competitiveness.
