Max Verstappen is among the most popular F1 drivers. Whether among fans or F1 teams, his popularity remains unmatched. Thus, Red Bul is always cautious with its development, as any error could drive him away from the squad. Although the RBR driver has asserted his future is with Red Bull, the Formula One world remains uncertain. Therefore, teams like Mercedes or Aston Martin are interested in poaching the triple champion.

Red Bull chief Christian Horner has clarified the certainty of Verstappen staying at the squad. However, the rivals are not giving up. Meanwhile, the Dutchman revealed the factors that could define his future in F1.

Verstappen’s Future Decision Won’t Be Driven By ‘Emotions’

Red Bull racing

Max Verstappen recently discussed the factors that will influence his future decisions in Formula 1. He emphasized that his choices will be driven by logic rather than emotion, as emotional decisions can often lead to regret. Moreover, the Dutchman pointed out that his patience and calm demeanor help him approach decisions with a clear mind, avoiding unnecessary stress. A significant part of his decision-making process is his strong relationship with Red Bull, a team where loyalty plays a crucial role. He values the mutual trust and commitment that has been built over time, a rarity in the competitive world of Formula 1.

Further, Verstappen also highlighted the importance of key personnel staying with the team and the progress of Red Bull’s engine project. He acknowledged the challenge of competing with established manufacturers who have decades of experience but expressed confidence in the team’s direction. However, he maintains a balanced perspective, is neither overly optimistic nor pessimistic, and is willing to be patient as the team continues to develop. Overall, Verstappen’s future in F1 will depend on a combination of factors, including team stability, technical development, and long-term prospects, rather than a rush to make decisions based on fleeting emotions.

Eddie Jordan Backs Verstappen To Switch From Red Bull

Eddie Jordan has expressed concerns that the ongoing changes within Red Bull could push Max Verstappen towards leaving the team. Jordan pointed out that the recent departures of key figures like Adrian Newey and Jonathan Wheatley may not sit well with Verstappen or his father, Jos Verstappen. He also noted that Mercedes is gaining momentum becoming increasingly competitive.

Given these factors, Jordan speculated that a move to Mercedes in 2026 could be on the horizon for Verstappen. Jordan’s analysis suggests that the instability within Red Bull, coupled with Mercedes’ resurgence, might influence Verstappen’s future decisions regarding his career in Formula 1.
