After two consecutive victories, the Red Bull winning streak was re-assembling.  However, it took a massive blow in their own backyard when Verstappen failed to finish in the top three. As a result, the three-time world champion was furious and expressed his discontent. The Dutchman criticized the team’s strategy and questioned their approach. 

It all started after Verstappen ceded his P1 spot after a collision with Lando Norris on the 64th lap. Further, he was investigated by Stewrads and was given a 10s penalty for reckless driving. Thus, it all accumulated as his anger erupted after a flop show in Austria. 

   

Verstappen Was More Annoyed With The Team Than Norris

The Red Bull starlet is disheartened after a disastrous outing in Spielberg. Max Verstappen believed the collision with Lando Norris could have been avoided if the team had been vigilant. The race started with Verstappen at P1 and Norris at P2. The two good friends were not ready to go easy on each other, as there were many close calls. However, the turning point of the race came on lap 64th when the duo collided and punctured the tyres. Although Verstappen returned to the track after fixing the damage, he was already behind. As a result, the Dutchman blamed the RBR crew for this horrendous result. 

After the race, Verstappen reflected on the unfortunate incident, lashing out at the home team. Talking about the early close calls, he said it was at a safe distance, and the moves were not risky. Further, he claimed Norris to be clumsy as the collision could have been avoided. Moreover, he contemplated on his tacos, questioning whether he had left the room for overtaking. The three-time world champion professed his passion for the race and always drives for winning. Thus, in such passionate moments, things happen, even when you do not want to be in a collision or crash. Moreover, the champion racer expressed his discontent with the team, claiming they did a ‘lot of stuff wrong.’ He pointed out the poor pit stops, which diminished the healthy lead. Ultimately, Verstappen felt the car behaved strangely after the first stint, as the balance was missing.

While Max Verstappen didn’t hold back and criticized his team, fans were divided into two sections. Some backed Verstappen and blamed the Red Bull team, while others felt he should introspect.

Thus, a few fans said he is not as embedded with the team as they show, and he might be looking for a change. In the end, the incident has re-ignited teh fire of speculations and rumors, as the Red Bull team faces more backlash.
