Lewis Hamilton, one of the most success racers in F1 and seven time world champion, will be moving to Ferrari in 2025. The British driver pulled off the move of the century by opting out of his two-year extension deal with Mercedes, thus putting an end to the 12-year-long partnership.

That being said, Maranello will be an unknown territory for Lewis Hamilton. Adjusting to a different team and engineers at the final stage of his racing career won’t be easy for the Briton. Hence, to get an idea of how his life in Italy would pan out, Lewis turned to his old foe turned friend Sebastian Vettel for help.

Lewis Hamilton is excited and nervous about joining Ferrari next year. Maranello has a highly competitive environment, and Ferrari runs on a team-oriented approach. Hence, Lewis won’t have the privilege of being the most successful driver in the sport. Regardless, the Briton wants to embrace the challenge with an open mind and fulfil his childhood dream of driving a red car. That being said, due to a no-poaching clause, Peter Bonnington won’t join Lewis in Maranello. Hence, Ricciardo Adami, the present race engineer for Carlos Sainz, will team up with Hamilton in the near future. Understandably, Hamilton had his reservations as he had built a strong bond with Bono over the years. And to lose that is a setback.

Hence, out of the fear of the unknown, Lewis Hamilton dialled up former world champion and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel for help. Ricciardo Adami served Vettel during his Torro Rosso days. Moreover, when Vettel moved to Ferrari in 2015, Adami followed him to Italy and worked with him until the German driver departed to join Aston Martin. Therefore, Vettel has insights into how capable Adami is as a race engineer and how he operates as well. Meanwhile, F1 journalist Giuliano Duchessa reported that Vettel had only positive feedback to offer to Lewis with respect to Ricciardo Adami. That will surely come as a sigh of relief for Lewis. Interestingly, Toto Wolff said earlier that he is yet to ask Bono about his future priorities in the aftermath of the Briton’s exit. Regardless, contract obligations will keep Bono from moving to Italy in the near future.

An email dropped by an alleged Mercedes employee accused Toto Wolff of discriminating against Lewis Hamilton. The email read that Hamilton was sabotaged to the extent that his mental health went for a toss. However, Wolff denied the accusations and instead initiated a criminal investigation against the email sender.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, Toto Wolff revealed that he is exactly the opposite of what’s portrayed in the alleged email. He has always stood for fairness and will continue to do so. Moreover, Wolff confirmed that Lewis Hamilton wanted to cut out the negativity spread by email and focus on the real task, which was improving the car.
