Max Verstappen has been the most dominant racer in F1 in recent years. No other F1 driver in history could imagine winning more than 30 races in a matter of two years. But the Red Bull star did achieve the “So-called” impossible feat in the past two years. However, it would not have been possible without the magnificent cars that Adrian Newey designed and the engines in them from Honda. With these whole combinations of drivers, designers, and engine partners, the Austrian team has not only managed to get back their hegemony. But they have taken the meaning of dominance to whole another level. Red Bull won 38 races since 2022.

Clearly, RB19 was a much-improved version of RB18. That’s the reason why Red Bull won 17 races in 2022. But they won 21 GPs in 2023. On top of that, the Dutch driver shared the lion’s share of these 38 victories as he won 34 himself. As a result, he has already found his place in the third spot of all-time most successful drivers with 54 career wins so far. Naturally, the F1 aspirants nowadays dream to have a career like Max Verstappen. However, the Dutch driver says it is not a good idea to try to be the “Second Max.”

Why Max Verstappen Advises The Next-gen F1 Drivers Not To Aim To Be The “Second Max?”

Recently, in an interview with formule1.nl, Max Verstappen mentioned that it is important to have individuality. The current triple-time champion mentioned that his advise for the modern-day kids is to try to be themselves. That’s how he was in his childhood. The Dutch driver did not look up to anybody. That’s what Max Verstappen hopes that today’s aspiring F1 hopefuls learn that from him: “Never try to imitate someone else and always try to remain yourself.” But the Red Bull star knows that “Success inspires”, hence, it is alright to be a fan of somebody. He knows that the kids would think of doing the same later in their life too.

But the point is that Max Verstappen doesn’t want the next-generation drivers to try to become the “Second Max.” On top of that, the three-time champion also refuses to be overly active on social media. It is because he respects his own privacy and doesn’t think what he does in private is anyone else’s business. He believes there’s more to life than Formula One. That’s why the Dutch driver doesn’t follow many F1-related accounts on social media. He consciously ignores F1-related news, and later, those posts stop appearing on his timeline.

What’s The 2024 Plan For The Dutchman?

Max Verstappen really loves to win races and that’s not just in Formula One. But as the 2024 season is approaching real fast, his targets are simple. Just go out there and win his fourth title in a row. He has a golden chance to do what Sebastian Vettel did before him for Red Bull and Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes, winning four driver’s championships on the trot.

But F1 is not the only thing that interests Verstappen. He has a lot of ambition for his virtual sim racing career. It is because after a certain point he doesn’t feel like the intensity of the F1 environment. After a point, he would like to stop talking about it because he understands that there’s more to life.
