Max Verstappen never really liked the idea of adding more races to the F1 calendar. He always said that the calendar was getting too hectic. Since F1 added the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Max expressed his irritation. He has always been straightforward about what he does not like in F1 Motorsport. Moreover, the triple-time champion lashed out about the race in Nevada. He already confirmed his third title win in the Qatar Grand Prix.

But now the Dutchman just wishes to finish the season on a high note. Albeit, Max Verstappen was not looking forward to the Las Vegas Grand Prix, he eventually went on to win his 18th race this year. Anyway, before the last day of the Grand Prix, there was a lot of drama around the race in Nevada. Lately, the Red Bull advisor mentioned Max could have been a little more diplomatic about the whole situation.

Recently, Helmut Marko mentioned all their sponsors come from the PR stuff. But Marko knows that Max Verstappen is not into PR and stuff. Hence, the Red Bull patriarch, despite understanding where Verstappen is coming from, added that Max could have been more diplomatic. Sometimes, the straightforward attitude of Max Verstappen is good, and sometimes it can backfire. Hence, the Red Bull advisor is afraid of losing sponsors for his team. Moreover, Max’s father, Jos, mentioned that he told his son to say things in a neater way. Jos told De Telegraaf that he directly spoke to Max regarding his comments. Moreover, Jos said he understands Max’s opinion, but that doesn’t mean Max can go and kick everything blindly. First of all, the most dominant driver of the current era had said the Las Vegas Grand Prix is “99% show and 1% sport.”

Naturally, Max Verstappen’s comments did not sit well with the sponsors or the organizers of the race. But what happened in the FP1 session did not work in favor of the organizers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The first practice session did not last long because of issues with the track layout. Later, Verstappen criticized the Nevada track and said he didn’t like it. Moreover, the triple-time champion criticized the organizers of the Grand Prix for their mismanagement. Despite having tickets, some fans did not get permission to watch the race. Later, as a token of apology, F1 offered the fans $200 worth of coupons. But Max Verstappen mentioned if it were him, he would tear the place down.

Anyhow, Marko said after the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Max did everything right. Not only did he win his 53rd Grand Prix, but Max also looked visibly quite ecstatic about the spectacular show the Las Vegas Grand Prix put on for the fans. Moreover, after the race win, Max was singing Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas on Team radio. Later, in the press conference, Max Verstappen mentioned he enjoyed the race very much as it was fun and good.

Marko feels that organizers might have no hard feelings for Max anymore. But Lewis Hamilton expressed his vote of support for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, hinting at Verstappen’s comments. He criticized the comment, saying, “This race is for show and blah blah blah.” Hamilton added Vegas proved all the negative things spoken about the race wrong after the final day.
