Giancarlo Stanton‘s blazing start to the 2024 MLB season has ignited a firestorm of excitement among New York Yankees teammates. The struggling veteran, in a desperate quest for a rebound season, fired four home runs in the first 13 games of the season. His latest one came in the home series finale against the Miami Marlins. Following the scorching shot, Stanton opened up about his form, saying that he is in good space with health and the rest of the stuff. Notably, Stanton appeared much slimmer during spring as he opted for a leaner approach during the off-season to maintain his health better. While the transformed physique might not be the only contributor, Giancarlo Stanton is happy to put together solid at-bats.

That being said, Marcus Stroman hyped up Giancarlo Stanton following his blazing start to affirm that the slugger is looking scary on the plate. Juan Soto also joined in to heap praise on Stanton’s grind. “To see him in the cage. He’s taking really serious swings and everything, I think. And now he’s getting payoff,” said Soto. Besides, Yankees manager Aaron Boone credited the slugger’s spring and off-season work. He revealed how Stanton has been having good at-bats since the start of the year, and to see him finally reap the rewards of his handwork is a fulfilling sight. Overall, Giancarlo Stanton finally succeeded in getting his old rhythm back. From now on, it’s just about capitalizing on the momentum and, most importantly, prioritizing health. Health is Stanton’s biggest asset as he moves forward into the season.

The New York Yankees failed to sweep the Miami Marlins in the second home series of the season. Marcus Stroman’s no-runs allowed streak was finally ended as he went for four runs allowed over five innings, raising his ERA from 0.00 to 2.12. Speaking about his sudden swift in form, Stroman admitted being off.

Marcus Stroman said his command and mechanics were off for the first three innings. While he felt getting locked in after that, it was perhaps too late to salvage the damage. Moreover, after getting hammered initially, the pitcher was confused, and doubts started creeping in regarding his next course of action. So overall, it was a bad day at the office for Stroman, who aims to bounce back soon.
