Juan Soto and Aaron Judge are the two big weapons of the New York Yankees in their offense. When these two guys are healthy and at their best, it is very hard for the opponents to stop the storm. It is raining home runs when these two superstars are on song. Moreover, they had a great start to the 2024 regular season. After the first two months, the Judge-Soto duo helped the NY side to get on the top of the American League East division. On top of that, the Yankees were the first team to win 50 games in the ongoing regular season.

They entered June with a 49-19 record. However, since June 13, the Bronx Bombers fell to a 6-16 record in their next 22 games. Both Soto and Judge failed to help the NY side get as many wins as they would have liked lately. In June, they went 14-13, but so far, in July, it has been even worse, as they have been 4-8. Even during their recent struggles, Aaron Judge seems to show faith in his team, especially in his partner in baseball crime.

Recently, the Yankees managed to win a series against their division rivals, the Baltimore Orioles. On Saturday, both Judge and Soto hit long home runs to help the team win big. Later, in the post-game interview, Aaron Judge mentioned that Juan Soto has had impressive at bats and heaped praise on his determination even after injury. It was against the Toronto Blue Jays on June 28 that the Dominican slugger hurt his hand. But MRI scans did not show any fracture. Nonetheless, the doctors ordered him to take care of his hand. Despite his hand injury, Soto was able to hit a 426-foot home run on Saturday. Later, the Yankees captain followed his footsteps, hitting a 431-foot homer. Moreover, Aaron Judge mentioned that he knows that his partner in baseball crime has been doing thighs at present with his hand.

But Soto is still going out there and hitting the ball like he normally does. That’s why the 2022 AL MVP said, “Soto is a one of a kind.” The power-hitters of the Yankees helped them win 6-1 against the Orioles on Saturday. It was a much-needed win for the 27-time World Champions. They have been going through a slump lately. As a result, the O’s have managed to topple them in the AL East. After the All-Star break, the Judge-Soto duo must help the team get more wins to make the postseason.

The Yankees captain has been spectacular this season. Albeit he had an early season slump in April. But then from May, the 2022 AL MVP has turned things around. Coming to mid July, the NY side’s captain has hit 34 home runs already. He is sitting comfortably at the top of the league’s most home run list. After Saturday’s game, Aaron Judge told the media, “I just hope these 34 home runs came in a lot of wins. That’s the most important thing.”

Clearly, the Yankees have been a little lost lately in the last few weeks. The Judge-Soto duo is still doing the best they can. But the team has not managed to get many wins. On the other hand, hitting 34 home runs before the All-Star break is another record for Judge. Again, he surpassed the franchise legend Roger Maris.
