Ben Rice, the New York Yankees’ latest rookie superstar, has been turning heads since his debut in the big leagues. Anthony Rizzo’s arm fracture paved his way from Scranton to the Bronx, and the kid seized the opportunity from both hands to establish himself as a major league-ready player.

In his latest outing against the Boston Red Sox, Ben Rice scored three home runs back to back to not only guide the New York Yankees to a 14-4 victory but also script a franchise record. Now, with the newly found stardom, Rice made a big promise in his latest podcast episode with Foul Territory.

The New York Yankees’ first baseman/catching prospect, Ben Rice, proved that he is here to stay in the big leagues on Saturday with a sensational night against the Boston Red Sox. He smoked three home runs to become the first rookie in Yanks history to do so. After a leadoff homer in the first inning, Rice followed it up with dual three-run homers in the fifth and seventh innings, respectively. Rice got his first curtain call from the fans at the Yankee Stadium on what turned out to be a sensational night, not just for Rice but also for the Yanks, as they secured their only win of the week-long homestand.

That being said, to celebrate his newly found stardom, Ben Rice appeared on the Foul Territory podcast, where he was shown a video of Yankee fan/podcaster Derek Levandowski shaving his head. For context, Derek had promised on Saturday’s stream that if Rice got his third homer of the day, he would save his head, and after the seventh-inning bomb, the podcaster lived up to his word and did the needful live on air. Rice reacted to the frenzy and said that while he didn’t expect Levandowski to go to such an extent, he isn’t surprised either. “I love it. This is the kind of stuff I like to see, especially a guy who’s walking the talk like that after putting out a tweet like that,” Rice said. When asked if he would shave his head in case the Yankees win the World Series this year, Ben Rice replied, “Sure.”

Ben Rice Opens Up On Curtain Call Confusion!

Ben Rice was lost and confused when his Yankees teammates escorted him out of the dugout to accept the fans’ curtain call following a 3-HRs game against the Red Sox. Recalling the incident on the Foul Territory podcast, Rice revealed that he was lost in his own world and kind of blacked out after the third home run.

Hence, he didn’t hear or understand what his teammates were trying to get him to do. It was only by the time Ben Rice got out of his dugout he understood that it was a curtain call and he removed his helmet to soak the applause. “I’m happy with how I dealt with it, it was cool,” Rice said on the podcast.
