The New York Yankees look at players like Anthony Volpe as the future of the franchise. They believe there are golden days ahead. But before seeing too far ahead, the NY side wants to end the 2024 season on a positive note. They have assembled a great team with the best offensive duo, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. This duo is raising hopes of the fans in the Bronx for their 28th World Series title success. It has been as many as 15 years that the NY side failed to make the “Big Dance.” The last time they did in 2009, they won the whole thing.

But now, the way the Yankees have been playing throughout the 2024 season, they sure look like a top contender for the ‘Big Dance.’ However, their season has not been totally smooth as they struggled in June and July. Since June 13, the Bronx Bombers went 6-16. Later, in July, they started with a 4-8 record. Then, the Judge-Soto duo had a great Midsummer Classic game. After the All-Star break, the Pinstripes went 2-5 at one point. Then, they gradually started to turn things around again. Despite this inconsistent stretch, Anthony Volpe believes in the team’s chances this season.

Recently, in an interview with USA Today Sports, Anthony Volpe mentioned that he feels very lucky to know that he has learned a lot through all the bad, ugly and good moments in his life. Like the Yankees, the last year’s rookie had a lot of ups and downs this year. In the first 15 games, the New Jersey native averaged .382. Then, he went cold for a while. Lately, Volpe seems to have re-discovered his stroke. In the last 13 games, AV posted a .903 OPS. Recently, Volpe told USA Today Sports that he made some adjustments that helped him put himself in a better position.

Now, the local kid hopes to win more games with his new stretch and try to get to the ‘Big Dance.’ The New Jersey native said that it is their goal to win their 28th title. Adding to that, Volpe mentioned that looking left and right around their clubhouse can help him see some really good players. He feels that the team would like to keep showing that they are capable of doing great things. Moreover, the local kid added, “That’s why we play for the Yankees.” This year has been a real roller coaster ride for the Bronx Bombers.

Other than the New Jersey kid, Mariano Rivera, a franchise icon, mentioned that the Yankees have everything they need to win their 28th title. As per USA TODAY Sports, Rivera said, “I just hope they do win because they really have the players.” One of those guys is the soon-to-be free agent Juan Soto.

Lately, Anthony Volpe mentioned that they will be lobbying the Dominican superstar to stay with them for a long time. He said, “Definitely, we will do our best pitch.” Lately, the Yankees added Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Miami Marlins. The outfielder had a great start, hitting three home runs in his first four games for the Yankees.
