This year, Aston Martin is one of the front-running teams with the chance of grabbing some good results among the ten teams in F1. Seeing how the team suffering last year has already earned three podiums in the first three races is ridiculous. The car has stunned all the teams, as Aston Martin was the seventh position holder last year in the construction championship. And this year, the team is directly competing with Red Bull. However, when all the people are stunned, the Silver Arrows boss believes that AMR23 is a piece of hard work.

Mercedes have struggled after the introduction of new rules and regulation, which restricts them from going all out on resources. However, they managed to win one single race in 2022, which boss Toto Wolff suggests helped them bring belief in their design philosophy. Staying true to their last year’s design, they decided to have faith in it again this year with W14. However, the team principal also hinted that there would be big changes in their car in the upcoming races.

Aston Martin Deserves A Round Of Applause

The AMR23 car which Aston Martin has managed to build is apparently faster than the Mercedes. And what’s interesting about that is the two share the same engine built by the infamous Mercedes. Meaning Aston Martin is beating Mercedes with better build, design, and strategy. Although it is not something to celebrate, Toto Wolff appreciates the hard work of Aston Martin’s creativity. He also defended them after the three races saying, “Aston Martin must be applauded because they have just taken a big step forward.

The restrictions are given so that all the teams can have a sustainable future financially. And Aston Martin has done a remarkable job staying under those restriction guidelines. And Toto believes that all must realize that they have done a better job than other competitors. “It is only because of the good work, there is no magic or something that makes it mysteriously fast.” He also made it clear they will be upon them in the later part of the season.

What Does The Future Hold For Mercedes-Aston Martin Partnership?

According to the F1 Nation podcast, pundit Tom Clarkson there is a chance that Mercedes will overpower Aston Martin. Although it is just a prediction, Mercedes is the one who has worked its way up from a hard time. But as of this moment, they are behind Aston Martin in the 3rd position. And their engine users are 9 points clear, with 65 points above them.

The only familiar thing at this moment is that nobody knows what can happen in the future. Only three races have taken, and Formula 1 is famous for its dynamic and uncertain future. The budget caps will definitely create some hindrances for the teams. And the Mercedes could even opt out of the races to save up for the next season’s car. However, time will only tell who will finish in the top three.
