BCCI Will Announce Two New IPL Teams on October 25

It has already been revealed that IPL 2022 will feature a total of ten teams instead of eight. Now, BCCI is all set to announce these two new IPL Teams on October 25.

On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India revealed that they would announce the two new teams of IPL 2022 on October 25. Right after that, they will also release the tender of IPL Media Rights for the 2023-2027 cycle.

   

The BCCI also extended the deadline to buy the Invitation to Tender in order to purchase the new IPL team. Initially, the deadline was on October 5, but now it is being extended to October 10. They issued the ITT on August 31, available on payment of the non-refundable fees. This non-refundable tender fess is Rs. 10 Lacs only along with any applicable Good or Service Tax.

The reports came out that Sanjeev Goenka of the RPSG group, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Aurobindo Pharma, and the Adani Group are among the people who purchased the ITT for buying a new team. This report also mentioned that the Adani group is interested in buying the Ahmedabad franchise.

IPL 2022 will feature a mega auction as well, where a team will only be able to retain three players. It will certainly shuffle up the things. And the addition of two more teams into the mix will make this equation even more interesting. Now, the fans are eagerly waiting for October 25 to know which two franchises will join the most decorative Cricket league all around the world.

Another news came out that the last two matches of IPL 2021 will take place at the same time and on the same date. Both SRH vs. MI and RCB vs. DC will be held simultaneously at 7.30 PM on Friday, October 8.
