The New York Yankees are having a terrible season in Major League Baseball this year. They are clearly struggling since the All-Star Break, and the losing streak does not seem to end anyime soon. Meanwhile, the fans of the baseball franchise are not happy with the team\’s performance. As a result, they are targetting team manager Aaron Boone and demanding he gets fired from his position. But why is that? Take a look.

Fans Demand Boone To Be Sacked!

The New York Yankees have been terrible since the All-Star break, going 9-17. Understandably, so many supporters are upset with the team\’s results. After the team\’s recent setbacks, manager Aaron Boone has faced criticism for some of his choices. In the ninth inning of a 4-4 tie with the Rays, Aaron Hicks was deployed as a pinch hitter by Boone in place of the light-hitting Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The decision infuriated fans, who were much angrier when Hicks struck out.

Aaron Boone was in trouble last week when the Boston Red Sox once again upset the New York Yankees. With the defeat, New York\’s prior 10-game record fell to 2-8. Even if it\’s unexpected for the Yankees to see such a dip following their strong start, a 162-game season calls for it. Sadly, Boston defeats are something that New York baseball fans are used to. But Clay Holmes\’ failed attempt to make a save just made it worse.

Moreover, there are serious concerns regarding Holmes\’ long-term capacity to replace Aroldis Chapman after he has squandered three saves in his first 11 appearances as closer. After yet another subpar effort by Holmes, many questioned why Boone ever put him in that situation in the first place.

Aaron Boone Reacts To \’Fire Boone\’ Chants!

With a good regular season record of 401-263, while playing for the New York Yankees, Aaron Boone is in his sixth season with the franchise. Despite having a record that is far better than average during the regular season, the team\’s postseason results have been disappointing. Apparently, Boone has had many chances to qualify for the World Series but hasn\’t succeeded.

Boone has received criticism for his decisions in the past, so he doesn\’t exactly shy away from it. Every Yankee player has experienced at least a brief period of aggressive fan interaction. But Boone handled it bravely, according to most reports, even badass. He stated, \”I stood up a little prouder on the top step and said okay. It goes with the territory sometimes here.\”

The Yankees manager even continued to talk for a while about the shouts that were aimed at him and the teammates wearing pinstripes. The Yankees have received a lot of jeers this season. This is despite having a wide margin in their division and a record first half. The Bronx\’s recent struggles, including the team\’s 3-11 record since the trade window and 9-17 record since the All-Star break, have only served to inflame the anger of disgruntled fans.
