The Los Angeles Lakers have lost another game which broke their three-game streak. The individual performance on the night remained on top, but the team could not perform as a whole. However, the monster named Anthony Davis woke up after a long time for the Lakers. The fans are surprised and are in awe seeing the performance of the 29-year-old on the court. It is the third game that the 2020 NBA champ has scored more than 30 points.

Is Anthony Davis An MVP Candidate?

In the Lowe Post podcast, Zach Lowe talked about the prospects of players that could surface as MVPs this season. Lowe brought the conversation to the Lakers center, Anthony Davis, as he could be the potential candidate to claim the reward. But to win the rewards later, he would have to reap the seeds of consistency in the present. Zach talked about how incredibly the 29-year-old has kept it going even without LeBron on their side. But can the eight-time All-star continue his spectacles when the big man James returns?

The return of King James is an important discussion because, after his return, AD won’t get to see much of the ball in his hands. The Brow has been a promising prospect since the time he was in New Orleans. According to fans and pundits, his trade was supposed to be one of the most important after Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

In the last three continuous wins, Davis has averaged 35 points with 67% FG, 17.3 rebounds, and two assists. And for the year, he continues to average 25.6 points with 55.4% career-best shooting. The numbers he is punching are already of an MVP only if the team could improve its overall record in the league.

Davis Continues His Monstrous Performance, But Lakers Falling

The three-game winning streak ends with a loss suffered in the Phoenix Suns clash on a Tuesday night. The Lakers lost the game with 115-105 points, but Davis continued the grand performance he displayed in the last three games. Anthony Davis even broke the records with 35 plus points, 20 plus rebounds, 5 plus steals, and 4 plus blocks in a single game. The blocks and steals were officially started recorded in 1973, and from then, Davis became the first player to accomplish these stats.

The Brow also became the third player to score 30-plus points continuously in four games. But the performance of one player is not enough to pull the win against a strong team like the Suns. These performances were long due from the eight-time All-star as he started the season with 20 plus points but not 30. Alongside AD, Russell Westbrook and Lonnie Walker also pulled a 20-plus-point performance on the night. Meanwhile, Westbrook continues to shine after coming off the bench. But the Lakers are still not able to sustain their winning. The records state 5-11 in the league, which needs much improvement.
