Another Record For LeBron James & Lakers, Something They Never Thought To Accomplish

LeBron James

LeBron James

LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the modern legends of the game. With a career spanning over two decades, James has accumulated several records to his name. However, when you have such a long career, you are bound to have some unwanted records as well. That is exactly what happened with LeBron James in yesterday\’s match against Denver Nuggets.

LeBron James Makes An Unwanted Record!

LeBron James, a small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers and an All-NBA selection, is beginning the 2022–23 NBA season by creating the incorrect type of history on the field. After five straight losses in a row, the Lakers stood at a 0-5 opening record before the last night\’s game. This was the worst among all the teams in NBA this season. Even the Sacramento Kings managed to win one of their games against the Lakers. As per ESPN, this is the first time in LeBron James\’ two-decade-long career; it is the very first time that a team led by James has had the poorest record.

This season, James has played in five games and has a five-game average of 25.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks. If his field goal percentage stays below 44.5 percent for the next 77 games Los Angeles will play, it will be his poorest mark in that area since his rookie year. Following his career average, James\’ shooting percentage of 77.8% is currently. Like many of his Lakers teammates, his three-point shooting has declined this season. In contrast to his 34.5% mark, he only succeeds on 24.4% of his 8.2 triple tries.

James\’ 26 Points Help Lakers Win Against Nuggets!

After a series of five bad games at the beginning of the 2022-23 NBA season, Los Angeles finally managed to end their losing streak on Sunday night. Last night, the Lakers eventually crushed Denver Nuggets by 121-110. Meanwhile, the Lakers\’ skipper LeBron James starred in the game and once again performed like a King, scoring 26 points for his side.

With six rebounds, eight assists, and a game-high 26 points, James topped all scorers. Anthony Davis also had a strong night with 23 points and 15 rebounds, but he later seemed to be nursing a back ailment. On the other side, Russell Westbrook, who came off the bench, once again played well, contributing 18 points on 50% shooting, eight rebounds, and eight assists.

Westbrook defeated the Nuggets\’ challenge by scoring four points in the final two minutes. The Lakers\’ three-point shooting improved, making 13 of their 30 attempts for a 43.3 percent clip. Additionally, they scored 48 points in the paint by capitalizing on Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets\’ two-time MVP-winning center, who had defensive weaknesses.
