\”Free Agency Is Just A Show,\” Aaron Judge And The Yankees Have Already Negotiated A Deal, Claims ESPN\’ Jeff Passan

In 2022, New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge had a season to remember for ages. By striking as many as 62 home runs in a single season of the American League, he broke the records of all-time greats like Babe Ruth and Roger Maris. However, as soon as the season ended, Judge\’s contract with the Yankees was over. This is because he did not accept the deal offered by the Yankees and instead decided to score a more lucrative deal by entering free agency.

Since then, the majority of the off-season has been dominated by news and rumors about Aaron Judge\’s future in the game. Several teams across the MLB are trying to hire Judge, but New York Yankees and SF Giants are considered to be in a tough fight. However, MLB insider Jeff Passan believes that Judge and the Yankees have already agreed to a deal. And all the exhibit of Aaron Judge\’s is nothing but just ivory.

Jeff Passan Claims Aaron Judge Already Closed The Deal With Yankees

Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge is currently in the Golden State to spend some quality time with his loved ones during Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, earlier this week, news broke that while in California, Judge also had a meeting with the San Francisco Giants. In fact, an MLB source claimed the meeting between the AL MVP and the Giants has been productive to some extent.

However, recently ESPN\’s sorts columnist has made shocking claims. Passan has claimed that Aaron Judge and the Yankees have already settled on a deal after the team presented him with a revised offer earlier this month. As per Jeff, when the dust settles, Aaron Judge will return to the Yankees, where he belongs. And all the shenanigans of Judge\’s free agency are nothing but a farce.

Passan\’s claims make more sense in light of what Judge said previously. Earlier this week, Aaron Judge said that it had been a thrilling ride for him. He and his family are certainly enjoying his time in the free agency wil the offers and rumors going around.

The MLB insider said that no one has ever received more than $200 million from the Giants. Furthermore, if a bidding war broke out, the team\’s head of baseball operations, Farhan Zaidi, may not have the financial wherewithal to pay a hefty sum to entice Judge to sign with them. Even the Dodgers are unlikely to pose a danger until Judge\’s market fails to materialize, according to Passan.

In order to make it happen, he doesn\’t believe LA would be prepared to spend much more than $200 million. According to several reports, Judge wasn\’t anticipated to sign any agreements before the winter conference. Thus the Yankees fans already have a reason to enjoy the holiday season without worrying about their favorite slugger.
